                We all have heard a variety of stuff about sunbath and also seen many people taking a sunbath.but have you ever wondered;
  •  What exactly we mean by sunbath?
  •  Why do people must take a sunbath?
  •  What is the proper procedure for taking a sunbath?
  •  What are its benefits?
  Let us know what are the answers to all these questions:-

  1. WHAT EXACTLY WE MEAN BY SUNBATH?

            Sunbath is an act in which a person sits under the sunlight and soaks in the sunshine. It is also known as SUNBATH THERAPY or HELIO THERAPY. In our country (INDIA) sunbath is a sort of ritual but, in western countries, it is done as a cosmetic measure than any therapeutic value.          

  2. WHY DO PEOPLE MUST TAKE A SUNBATHE?

           Sun and its rays are indispensable for our health and our very existence. Sunbathing helps to improve blood circulation and eliminates toxins from the body. In some persons, there is total /partial clogging of skin pores and they either do not sweat or sweat rather scanty but after a regular sunbath for a few days, they too sweat like other normal persons which helps them to remove toxins from their body via sweat. The person feels really refreshed after a sunbath and has fewer chances of suffering from depression.

  

  3. WHAT IS THE PROPER PROCEDURE FOR TAKING A SUNBATH?

             At first, it is necessary to find out a secluded place that is appropriate for taking a sunbath. Cover your head with a wet towel. Wear only muslin (a type of cotton) cloth around the body and bask in the sun. Either lie down or sit somewhere in the sun and relax. Once you start sweating stop taking a sunbath and allow the sweat to dry up, do not wipe it. Then take a bath with cold water. If one wished, a hot drink or water may be drunk during the course of the sunbath. Do not eat anything 2 hours before and immediately after taking a sunbath. 
  

  4. WHAT ARE ITS BENEFITS?

              Sunlight directly affects the brain's pineal gland, which produces melatonin; a powerful antioxidant; important for proper sleep and helps prevent depression. Apart from this, sunlight (sunbath) has various other benefits.               

 
           

 NOTE: PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM HEART AILMENTS OR ARE ALLERGIC TO LIGHT SHOULD NOT TAKE A SUNBATH.

"EXCESS OF ANYTHING IS DUST." SO DO NOT OVER-EXPOSE YOURSELF IN SUNLIGHT AS DOING SO CAN LEAD TO SEVERE COMPLICATIONS. (LIKE SKIN RASHES, SKIN CANCER ETC).

  "IN LIMITS IT'S A BOON, IN EXCESS IT'S A CURSE." SO USE NATURAL RESOURCES WISELY.

       "STAY HEALTHY, STAY SAFE, AND ENJOY NATURE."
